The home is close to multiple national parks such as Cedar Breaks, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Kolob, and Capitol Reef as well as world class mountain biking, skiing, fishing and hunting, Parowan is your Southern Utah hub for every outdoor adventure and this home is perfectly situated to be your amazing basecamp. Parowan is the original seat of Iron County. Settled in 1851, and first called “The City of the Little Salt Lake”, it was later renamed Parowan, a Native American name meaning “evil water”. The town is famous for its old pioneer heritage and local fare. It seems like every corner has a historical marker to read. Be sure to visit the Parowan Cafe for one of their famous Cinnamon Rolls or the Pizza Barn, two of our favorite spots. Close by is the Parowan Gap, a sacred Native American site and must-see rock formation in the area, which includes a large collection of ancient petroglyphs that archeologists believe are over a thousand years old. The formation also includes intact dinosaur tracks. NOTE: There is a small power substation just to the south adjacent to the home. It is not visible from any windows and the only poriton of the house that faces the substation is the garage.
