FOR SALE: Beautiful, luxurious vintage lynx fur coat in excellent condition. The coat is extremely well-made and created paws-to-paws not pelt-to-pelt. This procedure creates luxurious and lasting heft, whereas most furs this age will be flat and stiff. This procedure also creates beautiful blends of color patterns. The coat is lined in silk (no stains, no tears) and has waist-cinching cords with amber ends. Surfas designed this fur with a unique feature: the lining hides an "invisible" zipper that essentially creates two coats. One length is mid-calf (44" from neck) and when unzipped the coat is 18" shorter, about knee-length. Womens size 8. The fur was custom-made by Philip Surfas & Sons in Long Beach in 1979. It was a gift from my father to my mother for their 30th anniversary and originally cost $7,000. A long-established furrier in Orange County offered consignment at $1,600 but I would rather not pay the fees. Instead, I've lowered the price and I'm hoping that a local will want to purchase the coat. I'm asking $900.
